What does Mindshare LA do?

Mindshare L.A. was founded in 2006 to serve as a bridge between people with different skills & knowledge. We’ve hosted hundreds of events that combine inspiration and interaction, creating unique in person gatherings where interesting and unexpected things can happen. We frequently team up with partners as well as offering experience consultation services to clients who are aligned with our values.

What’s the History of Mindshare LA?

Mindshare LA has become a mecca for thousands of intellectuals, artists, scientists, media professionals, social entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and other forward-facing characters to meet, broaden their perspectives and expand their circle of connections. The night is centered around a curated program of short talks and performances.

In May 2012, hundreds of engaged, influential Angelenos gathered in the Arts District of downtown as Mindshare LA celebrated its 50th consecutive month of salons and workshops. The three day event featured fascinating speakers, musicians and performers gathered for a full day of inspiring talks, entertainment and art. The weekend unfolded as we collectively explored the theme “WHAT COMES NEXT?”… for ourselves, our culture and our planet.

Mindshare LA is the  brainchild of community organizer, cultural curator and Syyn Labs Founder Douglas Campbell (left), Mindshare LA has grown from humble beginnings in 2006 to become a cultural phenomena among academic and artistic people looking to get inspired and meet new people. Each month, “Mindsharians” attend  salons, workshops, screenings and cultural excursions near downtown LA.

Doug co-founded Mindshare LA in 2006. From the start he saw the power of technology to augment social interaction and began forming an interactive collective which led to it’s spin off and incorporation as Syyn Labs in 2009, gaining quick notoriety for its RGM music video collaboration with OK Go.
